The Media Collective was on hand to tape rehearsals of AUP’s production of Once Upon This Island:

The Project Peace Media Collective took a trip to the community organization,Make the Road NY and did a short video on this organization’s mission statement.

The Project Peace Media Collective is tackling the issue of Teen Dating Violence. Aliza Shupac, MSW is a RAPP(Relationship Abuse Prevention Program) coordinator and sat down with us to talk about the definition of abusive relationships. Here’s a preview:

The Project Peace Media Collective worked on a photography project entitled,”I Am Not My Hair”. This preview includes quotes from students’ writing on how hair defines them or not.

The Project Peace Media Collective is currently working on video letters. “A Letter to Myself” is inspired by the book Letters from Young Activists. Tatiana Colon took on the challenge of writing a letter to herself ten years from now.

The clip on Twin Towers in Bushwick artwork was very nice. Great way to have students interact with contributing artist. Its good to see that older individuals from student’s community are willing to speak with them and share opinions.

Love the piece on Bodega Chronicles and to hear the different comments from the students as to what they first notice their local bodega.
